Yaktrax Ice GripsYAKTRAX, named after the Tibetan yak, are lightweight ice grips worn over your walking shoes, winter boots, jogging or running shoes when walking on packed snow and ice in winter.The Yaktrax range includes Yaktrax Walker and Yaktrax Pro. Yaktrax Pro is similar to the Yaktrax Walker but with an extra safety strap for those who do a lot of walking, running or jogging on ice and packed snow in the winter. Yaktrax ice grips are the best way to reduce the risk of slipping on icy pavements and footpaths. Whether you use the lightweight Walker, or the heavy duty Pro with its sturdier coils and retaining strap, you will enjoy the security of all-round 360 degree grip in icy conditions. (IMPORTANT - Yaktrax ice grips are designed only for use on packed snow and ice. They should not be worn on hard or muddy surfaces devoid of ice cover. They will not protect you on invisible black ice caused by frozen dew.) BUT we also stock the SANDY - anti slip protector for walking on icy surfaces e.g. icy pavements.
